One of out recent video camera jobs consisted of upgrading an existing analog system to a digital system. We used the customers already installed cameras, saving them over 4k quoted from a competitor. Their cameras were perfectly fine and yours probably are too. The old system was a 24 hour VHS tape(yeah, what’s that?) that needed to be replaced once a day. The new system is recorded to a 2 TB hard disk, which we are estimating to hold close to a years worth of video. This system was about 3500 dollars and is being used to protect a few million dollars in assets. At that price, it was a steal. (no pun intended. ) |
